RunKeeper
Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 3:51PM So long Nike+!
I have a new shoe and since it isn't a Nike, the Nike+ system doesn't really work with it. Sure I could get an adaptor that would kinda work, but Nike+ has some serious limitations. As in it doesn't allow you to specify if you are running or walking, and doesn't support GPS. My stride between running and walking is different and even if I'm running my stride varies on the incline and on the degree of tiredness.
My friend Hamlin pointed me in the direction of RunKeeper for the iPhone. I opted for the pro version and started using in place Nike+. RunKeeper tracks via GPS and as such will keep track of speed, elevation, and pace. What's also nice is that you can edit your path and time for the times where the sky was really cloudy or you forgot to press stop within the app. You can share your runs, walks, rows, ski, surf, etc with other users online (site is much faster than Nike's and doesn't use flash, and you don't need to log in to send the data).
RunKeeper Pro is $9.99, while RunKeeper Free is, well, free.

In concert, booth, film along with timekeeper gave a compelling glimpse of where the very Monaco Myth is headed next.
